General Policies
All images are copyrighted by Lindsay Schumaier. If you choose to purchase Digital Files containing full-resolution files of your images you will receive a printing release form that allows you to have the images printed at any location and in any medium. You may also post them on social networking sites (Facebook, My Space, etc…) and/or personal websites and blogs. Because Lindsay retains the copyright to every image, however, you may not edit or crop the files in any way. Also you do not have the rights to use them for advertising or other revenue-producing purposes.
Please note that any prints or products not processed through my professional lab are not guaranteed by Lindsay Schumaier Photography because of color and finish discrepancies. I guarantee the archival print quality of my lab… for this reason, I encourage clients to order all prints intended for display or gifting through me.
Due to the custom nature of photographic prints and products, all sales are final.
Session
All newborn sessions take 2-4 hours giving enough time for feeding, snuggling and sleepy time. If Lindsay feels that she will not get enough quality photos due to an unsettled newborn the session will be rescheduled.
Child and Family sessions take up to 1 hour. Due to the unique nature of working with children , these sessions may finish in less than the allotted 1 hour time. The session will end when Lindsay feels that she has captured what she needs to produce a gallery of beautiful proofs.
To reserve a session, a non-refundable retainer/session fee must be paid in full at booking. This fee covers Lindsay's time photographing your child and preparing proofs for your selection. All products and digital files are purchased separately and are not included in the session fee. A link will be e-mailed to you that provides access to a “Pre-Session Questionnaire” and "client Contract". Please complete the questionnaire and contract no later than two days before your session to help us prepare for our time together.
Lindsay Schumaier Photography accepts cash, personal checks, CHASE QuickPay, and credit cards.
If you need to reschedule your appointment, please contact me as soon as possible. Your initial session fee is non-refundable, but can be transferred to a rescheduled session as long as it takes place within one month of the cancelled session date.
In the interest of fairness to all clients, I am unable to offer special deals or discounts except those that may be advertised occasionally as promotions. For this reason, please understand that session fees, print prices, and business policies are non-negotiable. Thank you for respecting Lindsay’s work and livelihood by not requesting fee or session exceptions.
Viewing & Ordering
You will be presented with beautifully edited digital proofs from your session, a few black-and-white as deemed by Lindsay's artistic view. Though many more images will be captured, Lindsay will show only the best images from each portrait session. She will not show additional images from the session after the gallery has been posted, nor will she offer them for sale in either digital or print form.
Your photos will be ready within 4 weeks. An online proofing gallery will be available for your ordering needs. Your order must be placed before the 7 day ordring period is up. A $100 fee will be charged to reopen your gallery.
Your digital images, USB flash drives of digital images, photo albums, wall gallery print collections, and prints order will be delivered to the studio within four weeks of your order date. A La Carte professional prints are available to order. All print orders are subject to applicable sales tax.
